Elizabeth Cady Stanton

Here is a picture of Elizabeth Cady Stanton. She wrote her autobiography, a compelling read, as she is the women’s suffragists most eloquent and prolific writer. I loved her most famous quote: “Come, come my conservative friend, wipe the dew from your spectacles and see that the world is moving". She devoted her entire life fighting for the passage of an amendment allowing women the right to vote. Sadly, she passed away on October 26, 1902, and was not able to witness the change she’d fought so long and hard for.
